Wheelers’ Brunch is up and running
Our first meet was Saturday the 29th of January 2011!
We will meet every last Saturday of the month.
Why Wheelers’ Brunch you may ask?
Well, the idea is for like-minded bicyclists, who enjoy their bike as a mode of transport in everyday clothes, to meet for.. yes… brunch (which goes from a full English Breakfast to scones, jam and a cuppa)! A different eatery every month, to be suggested in turns. We are starting with meeting at different eateries in and around Manchester city centre, come spring and summer no doubt some bikes & picnics will be on the cards too!
Come along with friends and family, so long as you will be on your trusty bike companion, wearing everyday clothes.
Wheelers’ Brunch get-together(s) are to celebrate the bike as a mode of transport, and to get to know people, who share this common interest. So it’s not a race, it’s not a challenge to prove oneself. If to get to destination B, it means that from the starting point A you need to get a train+bike combo etc, that’s absolutely fine
as I said, a group to celebrate the bike can be a viable alternative to the car, and public transport + bike is certainly the way forward!
